Education & Mentoring
Afterschool Programs
Siyakhathala provides structured afterschool programmes for children where they receive homework assistance, tutoring and mentoring.
Children are provided with a safe space where they can learn, grow and develop academically while staying away from negative influences such as crime and drugs.

Nutrition & Wellbeing
Meals & Nutrition Support
Many children in our communities face food insecurity. Siyakhathala provides daily meals during afterschool programmes to ensure children are able to focus on learning and development.
Our kitchen prepares nutritious meals that support the health and wellbeing of vulnerable children.
03 / 06
Recreation & Development
Holiday Programs
During school holidays we organise sports, games and educational activities to keep children engaged in safe and positive environments.
These activities help children build confidence, teamwork and life skills that carry through into their academic and social development.
04 / 06
Food Security
Community Food Gardens
Siyakhathala promotes food security through community gardening programmes. These gardens help provide food for children and families while teaching important agricultural skills.
The programme also creates opportunities for community participation and long-term sustainability.
05 / 06
Family Strengthening
Family Support & Parenting Workshops
Our team conducts home visits and school visits to identify the needs of families and provide support where needed.
Parenting workshops and community meetings help strengthen families and ensure children grow in supportive, nurturing environments.

Seasonal Care
Christmas Food Parcel Programme
At the end of each year Siyakhathala distributes Christmas food parcels to vulnerable families in the community.
This initiative ensures families are able to celebrate the festive season with dignity and hope, knowing that their community stands beside them.
